Simple Minds live in Taormina - Summer Live 2025

The legendary Simple Minds are set to electrify the stage at the stunning Ancient Theatre of Taormina on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025. As part of their highly anticipated Global Tour, this concert promises to be an unforgettable night in one of the most beautiful settings in the world.

The demand for tickets has been nothing short of extraordinary. Nearly half of the tickets sold so far have been snapped up by international fans, with attendees from across Italy also securing their spots for the event. Sales data reveals that 65% of the tickets have been purchased by fans from outside Sicily, underscoring the widespread appeal of this concert.

Led by Jim Kerr (vocals) and Charlie Burchill (guitar and keyboards), the Simple Minds lineup includes Gordy Goudie (acoustic guitar), Ged Grimes (bass), Cherisse Osei (drums), and Sarah Brown (vocals). From their formation in the late 1970s, the band has carved out a remarkable career. Their name, inspired by David Bowie’s 1972 track The Jean Genie, heralded the start of an era of groundbreaking music.

With over 60 million albums sold worldwide, Simple Minds boasts chart-topping hits on both sides of the Atlantic and five UK No. 1 albums, including Sparkle in the Rain (1984) and Street Fighting Years (1989). In recent years, they’ve reignited their creative energy, performing to tens of thousands annually and influencing a new generation of artists.

The July 27 concert is more than just a musical event.
