Description
With this daily excursion to Randazzo, Alcantara Gorges and wine tasting with departure from Taormina in bus, you have the opportunity to discover the local life and history of a town on the slopes of Mt Etna, and, at the same time, enjoy a wine tasting in an authentic Sicilian winery.
Departure by bus with tour leader from Taormina towards the Alcantara Gorge. The Gorges of the Alcantara river are formed from solidified basalt and are quite impressive. You can walk along the bed of the river by paying an extra ticket.
The tour will continue towards Randazzo, a medieval village near the border of the Parco della Etna .The main attraction of Randazzo is the cathedral, with its columns made from lava rock and the the 18th-century paintings. Free time to visit the local Sunday market.
Afterwards, wine tasting in a renowned cellar accompanied by typical local products. Return in the early afternoon.
