Excursion to Mount Etna Summit area at Sunset from Taormina

Unique occasion to admire the summit area of Mount Etna in the evocative atmosphere of the sunset.

The tour begin by boarding a bus up to 1.900 meters.

You will then switch to jeeps to get to the summit area at approximately 3,000 meters with licensed guides of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club). Possibility to walk and watch the sunset at a safe distance from the central crater. The darkness makes it possible to observe the eventual volcanic activity.

Stop to experience a stunning sunset as the fading sun’s colors cover the volcano and all of the expansive surroundings. 

Following the sunset, return by jeep to 1,900 meters.

Dinner in a typical restaurant is optional (not included, to pay extra).

We strongly recommend warm clothing and suitable shoes.

Departure and return time can vary, depending upon the season and time of sunset.
