The Godfather Tour - Private excursion from Taormina

The Godfather Tour begins with the pick up from your hotel. After about 30 minutes driving with a private air-conditioned car you will reach Savoca, one of the most picturesque medieval villages in Sicily, inserted in the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy since 2008. We will immediately stumble across the first structure left intact from 1972: The Bar Vitelli (Trimarchi Palace), where Michael Corleone asked Apollonia's father her hand in marriage and informed him that his name was Michael Corleone, and that "some people would pay a of lot money for that information, but then your daughter would lose a father, instead of gaining a husband."

The Second location is the Church of St. Nicholas where Michael and Apollonia were married kneeling in the doorway.

Enjoy free time to explore Savoca at your leisure, perhaps even to have a snack or drink (own expense) at the Bar Vitelli, before boarding the car again to go to Forzà d'Agrò.

Forza d’Agrò is a charming medieval town with spectacular views of the coast, also used as a backdrop for filming of the Godfather movies. Here you will find the church where young Vito Andolini (later Vito Corleone) escaped Don Ciccio's men by hiding in a basket on a donkey's back.

Here, too, you will have some time to explore the town on your own before getting back on the car for the trip back to your starting point.

It's worth noting that the Godfather Tour was recently featured in the popular TV series "The White Lotus - Season 2". In the third episode, the Di Grasso family (Bert, Dominic, Albie and Portia) takes a private Godfather tour with a driver.
