Excursion to Mount Etna from Taormina

Excursion in bus to Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe at 3,400 meters, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013.

Departure by coach with Tour Leader and arrival at the Etna base station at approximately 1,900 meters. Stop with the possibility of soft trekking to visit the most recent lava flows.

Possibility to have lunch or buy snacks at a local restaurant (extra).

Optional upgrade to reach the authorized crater zones at approximately 2,800–2,900 meters withthe assistance of licensed guides of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club). Stop to admire the eventual activity of the summit craters from a safety zone, subject to weather conditions and decisions of the relevant authorities.

Your tour will conclude with transportation back to Taormina around 16:00.

NB: During winter a minimum of 12 people is required. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers.
