Its name derives from the Castle located on a lava rock built by the Normans in 1076. Here you can Visit the catacombs, stroll along the characteristic small and ancient road of Savoca tasting the "Granita" in the famous "Bar Vitelli" where Francis Ford Coppola, filmed some of the most important scenes of the film The Godfather II. You will leave for Forza d'Agro, admiring the famous church of SS Pietro and Paul, who is an old medieval town with views of Taormina and the Ionian coast, it is famous for being the scene of some footage from the film The Godfather III in 1990.
